Position Overview
We are looking for a dedicated 1st / 2nd Grade Teacher who will inspire and challenge students while fostering a nurturing, faith-filled learning environment. The ideal candidate will uphold the mission of Catholic education, embrace the classical curriculum, and instill a love of learning in students.  This position also collaborates with the Parish Director of Religious Education with Sacrament Preparation (1st Confession, 1st Communion).

 Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in core subjects, incorporating classical Catholic teaching methods.
- Teach religion and integrate Catholic values into daily instruction.
- Assess student progress, provide feedback, and communicate regularly with parents.
- Foster a structured, supportive classroom environment that promotes academic and spiritual growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance instruction and curriculum development.
- Participate in school activities, professional development, and faith-based events.
 
 Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
Michigan teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain certification).
Experience teaching elementary students, preferably in a Catholic or classical education setting.
Strong understanding of Catholic teachings and commitment to faith-based education.
Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
Passion for teaching and dedication to Catholic liberal arts education.
