Parent Guild Notes September 2015
We held our first Parent Guild meeting on Tuesday, September 8th. Thank you to those who attended.
Here’s what happened:
• We approved the piloting of IXL math program for Mrs. Hutcherson’s class at a cost of
$250
• Approved continuing to supplement hot lunch, offering an additional healthy option with
lunch, at $30 per month .
• Movie Night is Sept. 25th_ Kindergarten and ath grade get to pick the movie. Choices are
Brave, Home, or Wreck-It-Ralph
• Signage to be obtained to let people know of the next Parent Guild Meeting
• Check the cost of new vinyl coated chains for the playground swing set as well as new
wood chips for the play area
• Discussed Applefest and volunteers that are still needed
• Discussed the Auction:website www.nightinparis.info The site is up, check back to see
what is available to bid on as well as to purchase tickets on line still need volunteers
The Following are the dates for the upcoming Parent Guild Meetings:
Sat: 9/19, Tues 9/29, Sat 10/17, Tues 10/27, Sat 11/14
Saturday meetings are at Wiley Coyote’s Grill in New Boston at 9:30am
Tuesday meetings are in the cafeteria at 5:30pm

Volunteering Opportunities
At the Meet and Greet on the first day of school, poople were asked to volunteer for various things.
Those who signed up to input Coke Rewards were contacted at the email address provided. If you
haven’t picked up your bag of caps, please see ChristinA Lynch. If you would like to also volunteer to
input Coke Rewards please email at jagular1989@att.net and you can get started.
Applefest
By the script office are sign up sheets for baked goods for Applefest as well as to volunteer to help
selling the baked goods and working in the kitchen. Applefest is the weekend of October 3rd and 4th.
We still need a variety of help:
Set Up October 1st evening
Tear Down October 4th evening
Baked Good sales: please let us know when you can volunteer: even a couple of hours will help
Baked Goods to sell-We can never have too many baked goods!
Concession Leader: Someone to oversee the kitchen and be sure volunteers are supported
Concession Sales/Cook: Working in the kitchen on Saturday between 1 0 and 7:30 and/or Sunday
11 am- 5:30pm: selling food items to people coming to the craft show
A flyer will be coming home with more information regarding Applefest and opportunities to volunteer
Movie Night:
Mark-your calendars for Movie/Family Fun Night. Our first movie night is next Friday, September 25th.
There is a movie on the big screen; also games, family fun, a chance to speak with other parents and a
chance for the students to socialize. It is free to attend. There are concessions available.
Please consider volunteering for one of these events. We appreciate any and all help!
